Charity’s financial boost

The Air Ambulance was one of the benefiting charities for Wings and
Wheels, which took place last August.
A record number of spectators flocked to the aerodrome to watch air
displays, including a Hurricane, The Great War Display Team, Eurofighter
Typhoon and the show were closed by the mesmerizing The Red Arrows. On the
ground, there were displays from motoring classics.
The Sussex Air Ambulance is based at
"Wings & Wheels 2009 demonstrated just how
popular the Air show has become. It's no longer a local show but has evolved
into one of the
"Making the decision to become a 2-day show is our
response to this success and also allows us, as organisers, to ensure that we
are putting on the very best event in the air, on the ground and by providing
our visitors an excellent experience that's value for money."
Wings and Wheels will take place over the Bank Holiday weekend on Sunday
29th and Monday 30th August this year and promises to be
an even bigger and better extravaganza with an exciting line-up of flying and
motoring demonstrations.
Sussex Air Ambulance responds to serious medical emergencies, 365 days a
year. It costs £1.7 million to fund the service, which is supported almost
entirely by donations from the public.
