Staff at
a motorcycle shop in Worthing visited the Sussex Air Ambulance’s
Alf
Hubbard and Paul Mengue who raised the money at their Christmas party, brought
along a Kawasaki ZX10R bike which has been entered in a 24 hour Le Mans
Motorcycle Endurance Race in April this year. They were given a tour around the
Air Ambulance helicopter and were able to meet the crew of the life-saving
Helicopter Emergency Medical Service.
Alf Hubbard said: “It is a great cause and a vital service that
gives peace of mind to all the many motorcyclists that we know. I find it
incredible that it is funded by charitable donations and we are so pleased to be
able to support their work as much as we can. “
Sussex Air Ambulance responds to
serious medical emergencies, 365 days a year and during 2009 responded to
several incidents in
