Worthing Squares Dance Club chose Sussex Air Ambulance as its Charity of the Year for 2007.

The group fundraising was organised by Shirley Fricker and they managed to raise a fantastic £750 through several fundraising initiatives including dances, a raffle, tombola, the re-sale of dance clothes and remodelling old greetings cards which were then sold to its friends & members. 

The Club has voted to continue with the Sussex Air Ambulance Fund as its charity in 2008 as a very needy and worthwhile local cause.

The picture shows the presentation of a cheque for £750 by the Club Chairman, Thea Francis to Richard Draycott of theSussex Air Ambulance, at the Club's Christmas Party Dance, Richard also gave an up to date progress report on the work of life saving helicopter.
