A Rustington midwife is to climb the tallest free-standing mountain in the world in a bid to raise money for the Sussex Air Ambulance. Carole Fendick, who works at St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester, will scale the heights of Mount Kilimanjaro with daughters Catherine and Louise on October 31.
A teenager rescued by the Sussex Air Ambulance after a motorbike crash will set off on a cycle ride to Holland tomorrow (Tuesday) to raise money for the charity that saved him. Luke Vater broke his right femur, knee cap and thumb and suffered third degree burns following a collision with a car on the A22 at East Grinstead.

A Ringmer woman has left a lasting legacy after a £1,000 donation was used to buy a vital piece of kit for the Sussex Air Ambulance. The money was used to buy a Capnograph for the twin-engine MD902 helicopter in memory of Dorothy Hall who died last November.
